May was full of requests for commissioned paintings for two events that we were--and are--happy to be part of.
ASPIRE HOME & DESIGN sponsored Toledo Geller's design of apt 412 and they envisioned Jerry's paintings in every room. For the living room, he created a diptych of textured vertical patterns that characterize several of his paintings, in the size, shape and palette they envisioned.
For the bedroom, they wanted a larger horizontal version of a small, 16 x 11" oil on wood, Mood of the Season. The larger version is titled, Seasons. The den has two paintings, Cosmos, which sits admirably above a gray couch and across from another commission that turned a vertical painting into a 36 x 48" abstract landscape, Approaching.
In mid-May, we also participated at a Designers Power Brunch hosted by Blanche Garcia and created two new paintings for that event to benefit SOFIA, which supports women and children at risk for domestic abuse. Great art for great causes.
